Welcome to the Piezo SHOCK Show #57. In this video, I show how to measure the polarization of an ultrasonic/piezoelectric element by using heat. This is important in order to attach your piezo elements correctly in your application. Usually, the manufacturer marks a side of the piezo to determine the polarization. This method can be used to double check that or to determine the polarization if the sample is diced.
